Dear Renee, Thank you for your message. The presence of open wounds in both inguinal areas (still open, right?) suggest that it would be a good strategy to start your treatment in the axillary areas working on the anastomotic axillary-inguinal pathways. You cannot work on open areas, so use these anastomotic pathways. Be very cautious: I would work on one limb at a time to monitor the genital lymphedema. When you have reach a plateau on one side provide the patient with a compression garment and work on the opposite side. I will ask Dr Leduc if he has any suggestion. Give direction for self treatment in genital area Think about the use of a compression for this area. We spoke about it at the course. Keep us posted. Good luck for your patient and yourself.
